Our Policy

When a product is not what you expected, we offer our “7-Day No Questions Asked” Return Policy. We strive to make returning a product as easy as possible and make sure that you are completely satisfied with any purchase from The Vintage Shop!

Making returns easy

Our objective is to make returns simple and free of hassles.

If the fault is ours, we’ll make it right

If you by chance received an incorrect item, please call or email us right away, as we will send you a prepaid return shipping label or issue you a refund. If you are returning merchandise because the fault is ours, then the 7-day return policy does not apply, as there will be a delay due to the return shipping label needed.

The 7-Day return – Products may be returned in the original condition within 7 days of the delivery date of your order. Merchandise sent back to our showroom complete and undamaged will be processed for credit using the same method as the original payment. Original shipping costs and return shipping costs are not refunded.

After 7 Days – Return merchandise received after 7 days may have a 20% re-stocking fee applied. We understand that life happens, therefore we want to work with you. Please do not hesitate to call or email us if your return falls outside of our normal return policy.

Exclusions – Special Orders may require either a higher re-stocking fee or in some cases be non-returnable, which will be disclosed in the description, at the time of quote or at the time of sale.

*NOTE* Local Pick Up options that are chosen by accident by the buyer, during checkout, will be subject to a 25% restocking fee before issuing a refund, in order to cover payment processing and partial refund fees that are acquired by The Vintage Shop for this specific purchase. The local pick up option is intended for customers located in the area of Port Clinton, Ohio.

How to return merchandise

To get your refund processed as quickly as possible:

  • Carefully repack the merchandise for return, including all parts and packing materials. Repack the merchandise in the original shipping box and re-label with the prepaid return label.
  • Include a copy of your order or write the product item and sales order numbers on a sheet of paper with your name and address. Product and order information can be found using:
    • Order confirmation email
    • Shipping confirmation email
  • Mail return merchandise to our showroom:

Please Note

  • Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility, unless the return is due to an error from The Vintage Shop.
  • Returns should be sent using an insured shipping method with tracking to ensure your package arrives safely at our showroom.
  • Incomplete or damaged merchandise may not be eligible for a refund.

We can answer your questions before you go through the effort to return a product. Feel free to call us so that we can provide you with exemplary service.
We will do our best to note any repairs, cracks, chips, breaks, blemishes, etc. in our item descriptions, that any piece may have, however, some of these issues are not always caught. Our photos are going to be a great indicator of an items overall condition, just as much as the written description would be, if not more, so please look at all of our items photos closely and carefully, before making your selections. Please note: due to camera lighting and screen lighting, all merchandise may be slightly different in color from the listed photos.

Artwork: We do not hire appraisers to have our artwork appraised for originality, therefore, unless otherwise noted, all artwork is priced as if it were a copy and not the original piece of art (a bonus for the buyer if it’s indeed an original).

ATTN: Shipment Disclaimer: The Vintage Shop recycles & will reuse recycled packing materials when they are available.

Our weights & dimensions that are listed in the merchandises additional information tab are calculated weights & measures for shipment, once the merchandise is packaged up and ready to be shipped. These weights & dimensions are calculated by size, weight & proper packing materials that will be used for the shipment, to help insure safe delivery and the actual merchandise size and weight will be smaller/less.

If there are no shipment options available, then that means that this specific item is to be picked up directly from our showroom, by the purchaser or by an authorized representative-PHOTO I.D. & SIGNATURE WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE MERCHANDISE WILL BE RELEASED TO PERSON PICKING UP, TO HELP ELIMINATE LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS.

*NOTE* If you are sending an authorized representative, on your behalf, to pick up your merchandise, then we will need for you to provide us with their full legal name, for verification purposes when they arrive.
